SEIGNOSSE BEACH CLEAN-UP WITH LAYDAY e.V. & SURFRIDER FOUNDATION

Life’s a beach – preferably a clean one! The layday Surfclub e.V. thought so too and organised a beach clean-up in Seignosse, France, in cooperation with the Surfrider Foundation. As part of the SURFERSWEEK, the hard-working volunteers got together to do something good for the beach and the karma account.

A total of eleven bags of plastic waste were collected – a success for the event, but also an alarming sign of the extent of plastic pollution on our beaches. Every full bag reminds us of the problem, but also shows that everyone can do something about it. Whether at an organised clean-up, or in classic “Take 3 for the Sea” fashion every time you visit the beach. Actions like these not only clean up a stretch of beach, but also raise awareness of plastic pollution and its devastating effects. Dedicated volunteers are an important part of combating this global problem! That’s why the volunteers of this clean-up were rewarded handsomely with products from layday layday.

Spread the Word!

Everyone can (and should) do their bit to keep the oceans clean. Plan your own actions, get active and spread the word! Every bottle of beer, every piece of plastic, every cigarette butt less is a success.

Thanks to all the helpers, to all those who spontaneously decided to pick up a rubbish bag between sunbathing and splashing around in the sea. You’re the best!
